Get to know us.

We here at Sweet Inspirations have been busy with so many projects and are grateful for all your support and confidence in us.  We understand that you are busy as well and it may be difficult to keep track with what we are doing.  Instead of telling you what events we have in the works, we thought we would give you a sneak peek into the mind of the creative forces behind Sweet Inspirations with a Q&A.  Listed below, are the ten most frequently asked questions by our followers and clients.  Hopefully the answers will give you a better understanding of who we are and why we love doing what we do.  If you have a question for us, we encourage you to email us and we will definitely get back to you.

Enjoy and may your Holidays be filled with sweet surprises.

Grace left Carmen right.

1.         What makes you most happy?

Grace:          Seeing others happy, sounds cheesy but if you know me, I do like everyone to get along (even though its not always realistic), this comes from me being a giver.  I also enjoy doing charity work I haven’t done as much as I would like to, but when I have it's a different type of joy!  And of course sitting on my  couch with my husband doing absolutely nothing!!!! Also all my nieces and nephews, hearing them say my name just melts my heart!

Carmen:      When I’m able to help someone.  Especially when it’s done in anonymity.  A lot of people get lost in the fast paced life of New York City, so taking a moment to help someone is gratifying. My family, of course.  Music as well.  It’s able to express my feelings better than I can at times.  You will always hear music in my home.

2.         What drains you?

Grace:     Complainers and Negative people.

Carmen:      I would have to say naysayers and not pleasing everyone.  But it’s also my drive.  A gift and a curse.  I want to prove people wrong and I want to be sure that everyone is happy with the final product.

3.         What’s your dream event?

Grace:          My wedding been there done that! Lol....But an event with no budget would be amazing!

Carmen:      My Sisters 2nd wedding. Wink wink..

4.         What’s your biggest Motivator?

Grace:         My husband (who is just amazing!!!!) my family and myself.  I have a great support system and many goals I will be achieving god willing! I try to always see the bright side in things!

Carmen:      My family. Especially my husband.  He has the utmost confidence in me at all times. And is always there when I need him.

5.         Something personal?

Grace:         I was engaged to my husband after 7 months of dating and got married 9 months later.

Carmen:      Giving up total control.  I need to learn to let go and let life take its course sometimes.  I’m a firm believer that if you want something, you have to be a “hand’s-on” person but I have to understand that some things are beyond my control.

6.         If you could live anywhere where would it be?

Grace:          Hummmm.....even though I don’t see myself leaving my family and NYC be- hind but I would have to say Paris! I love it there I think it one of the most beautiful cites I have been too.

Carmen:      I wouldn’t change my current location.  I was born and raised in New York and it doesn't get old.  Everyday I appreciate it more!  The city has so much to offer.

7.         Secret Beauty Tip?

Grace:         I don’t use tons of make-up but one thing I don’t leave home with out is Photo-op by Smashbox mix it with Mac concealer   It does miracles for under eye.

Carmen:  Smile and remain confident.  Be happy with who you are and if you need feel the need to improve something in your life, do it.  But know that you are beautiful just the way you are. But of course, Eyeliner and Blush makes everything better!

8.         What is the last book you read?

Grace:             Salem Falls.  I’m a big Jodie Picoult fan.

Carmen:         Currently reading Huckleberry Finn.  Because I can and it was about time.

9.         What is your home style?

Grace:          I would say it falls under industrial/modern/vintage lol.  But still a work in progress.

Carmen:      Very bohemian, art from across the globe with splashes of gems found at thrift stores.

10.       What is your biggest challenge in the industry?

Grace:         Trying to work with every ones budget, without jeopardizing who we are as a company.  Our job sometimes seems easier then what it is.

Carmen:      Constantly having to prove yourself.  There is so much talent out there that you want to be better or up to par.  Trying to remember everything my partner, Grace, tells me concerning our events.

Hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about us.  Till next time!
